Paving of the Niemene - Foumbolo road

In the Hambol region of northeastern Côte d'Ivoire, the government has launched a major road paving project on the Niéméné-Foumbolo road in the Dabakala department.

This 34-km road, with a 2x1 lane configuration and a width of 3.5 meters per lane, runs through the sub-prefectures of Niéméné and Foumbolo. It connects several localities with significant agricultural, economic, and human potential, while also improving road connectivity in this part of the country.

In addition to this main infrastructure, internal roads have been built within the sub-prefectures of Niéméné and Foumbolo, improving local traffic flow and access to essential services.

Beyond the road itself, this project has a significant social impact. It facilitates the rapid evacuation of patients to Dabakala, improves population movement, and promotes the distribution of agricultural products, particularly cashew nuts, a strategic sector for the Ivorian economy.

The project also includes related initiatives with a strong social impact, notably the construction of school fences, including those at the Dienguesso Primary School, and the drilling of three boreholes in villages along the road. These actions contribute to the sustainable improvement of living conditions for the beneficiary populations.
